Lawrence Ong started his career in IT services 16 years ago as a sales engineer selling Alcatel Category 5 structured cabling systems and Cisco Routers. He is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and Certified Information Systems Auditor, CISA. Before joining Orange Business Services, Lawrence spent more than 6 years with Dimension Data where he was managing the Security line of business across Asia Pacific. He experienced the March 11 Japan earthquake while he was based in Tokyo, Japan in 2011. His involvement in IT Security started when sold his first Checkpoint firewall in 1995 on a Sun Sparc workstation with RSA Secure ID Tokens.
