FS ICT Awards 2014

The 5th edition of the France Singapore ICT Awards organised by UBIFRANCE and the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS) took place on 18th June 2014 at The Arts House. It gathered more than 130 IT professionals from all around the world. This event was held in conjunction to the Asia largest Infocomm and Broadcast exhibition, CommunicAsia & BroadcastAsia 2014 (40 000 visitors) with more than 35 French companies showcasing their latest technologies and cutting-edge innovations. This year again, the goal of France Singapore ICT Awards was to promote the innovative digital technologies and solutions. It enabled South East Asian and French players to share their know-how and experiences (success stories) creating a holistic business environment. Singapore is an undisputed leader in the ICT-sector and France is strongly committed to develop a long-term partnership with Singaporeans, and South-East Asia companies.

This year, 17 French and Singaporean companies applied in 5 different Award Categories. All candidates mainly focused on OTT, Multiscreen experience, catch-up TV, mobility, Data mining, security and video solutions.

The 18 applications were submitted to the notations of a prestigious Jury Board which was composed of French and Singaporean government authorities and influential Telco and Broadcast operators sharing the same innovative values for their strategic sectors:

The ceremony was opened by H.E. Benjamin Dubertret, Ambassador of France in Singapore. He highlighted the fact that “France is strongly committed to develop a long-term partnership with Singaporeans, and South-East Asian companies, to seize all the opportunities of a globalised market with convergent needs in the new technologies.”
Following him, Tony Tay, Consulting Group Director at IDA International, added that “These awards bring special meaning to Singapore. Being a city state, our ambition is to be a Smart Nation. To achieve that, we must address both the hardware and the heart ware. “

Franck Lebeugle, from the French CSA (Broadcast regulation agency), congratulated all the candidates for the quality and the relevance of their applications.
